Fighting For Respect

Like it!

"Fighting for one thing, RESPECT! We are what we are. Sloppy but well determined and motivated."

The Adamson University Falcons Basketball Mens Team was always known for loosing and bad images established by different ball game picture. I remember Mark Abadia of Adamson U before, Magaling pero mayabang at madalas magtaas ng damit pag moment na nya. Hehehe. All time favorite! 0-14? 1-13? 2-12? Epic, under coach Luigi. Ayaw ko na nun. Pag Adamson alam mo na yun "Talo na yan". Until coach Leo arrive in the scene. With Ken Bono and Patrick Cabahug on the strings we made it to the Final four but with a short 3 point shot that broke our hearts, I remember that day in Araneta. Final 4, college basketball fever. Kakaiba naman si Bono and Cabahug ahh.. Compared to all players strolling around the ball game scene during my 5 year stay in San Marcelino. Si Cabahug madalas ko nakakasalubong na naka jacket at tahimik lang na naglalakad. Si Bono madalas ko nakikita bumibili ng taho dun sa me Marians. They are simple but marked our school history when we were able to reach and play the UAAP final four after years of loosing habit, UAAP season 69, 2006, with Bono winning the MVP same year.

But a sorry loss again against the formidable force Ateneo U.

Now, UAAP 73, Standing 8-4, with a lot of momentum, Looks like we are heading to the same direction again. Not with the loosing one, but with wins that makes a day by day added chunks of respect to our names. "Nadadagdagan ang morale ng team na to at maging ng supporters nito dahil sa larong pinapakita ng mga players nila" How? Because we work hard for it. When i went out last sunday game after an another sorry loss, Inis at pagkasuya sa sarili (when i was walking out the Araneta) I heard a mum"Galing ng Adamson, Ganda ng game... Nakaka kaba" I raise my head up and see that guy who said those words, tiga Ateneo siya with his son and daughter. Saying good words about my team. "Proud ako". Yes we lost another game. But we earned a lot of respect from other people.

All i can say is see you in the Final Four:) Lessons learned!

For Fanatics! Heads UP. Sing your hymn! Wag yung alam nyo ng natalo. Lalayasan nyo na kasi talo.

For Players. Cry hard and Weep. Come back strong! Every Drop Counts!
